Qualifications & Experience
As the owner of Linder Bookkeeping, Inc., Judith Linder has worked for more than 32 years with a variety of clients, including: individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. Her education from The Pennsylvania State University, with follow-up education from the National Education Corporation, laid the foundation for Judy's career as a bookkeeper. As the owner of her own business, Judy is experienced in many facets of bookkeeping, including, but not limited to: payroll generation, bank reconciliations, income and expense reports, and liaison work with accountants. She has worked diligently over the years to provide her clients with an honest, reputable, and quality experience.
In January of 2012, Judy was appointed Interim Tax Collector for Barrett Township, and in November, 2013 she was duly elected to the position. Her bookkeeping career has given her the experience necessary to perform the required tasks of tax collector. Additionally, with the desire to provide quality work equal to the standards of neighboring municipalities, Judy has fulfilled all of the educational requirements and successfully passed the exam to become a Pennsylvania Qualified Tax Collector.
As tax collector, Judy has worked diligently, collecting and processing real estate taxes, aiding individuals with questions and concerns, providing banks, mortgage companies, and governmental agencies with information needed for property transactions, and organizing and reporting collection information to Monroe County, Barrett Township, and Pocono Mountain School District.
